5th grade graduation

What a great week. We had Heather's graduation, Abby's Kindergarten celebration, Jake's awards assembly, Wesley's picnic at the park, Abby's field trip to the farm, Rachel's tennis banquet, Joel's baseball banquet, Grandpa & Grandma Marion come, Liz and Jeff and kids come, Pooh pa and Grandma come on their way home from Armenia (18 month mission), Rachel's high school graduation, Abby's 6th birthday (on the same day), Seminary Graduation, and Kyle's 6th birthday. We worked hard in the yard on Friday, planted some beautiful flowers for the party, Jeff put in a drip system for my garden!! and numerous sprinklers throughout the back yard. Lots of fun things fixed and added to our home. We really appreciate everyone's help. My two dear friends brought over cookies and cupcakes for the grad party. They are so sweet and I couldn't do it without them! Had lots of those we love over to celebrate it all. The whole time I'm thinking, we should have friends over all the time. It was so fun! So be patient, I have lots to blog.

Heather graduated from Elementary school on May 18. I can't believe she is old enough to be going to middle school. It seemed like yesterday she was my chubby little sweetheart. Rachel and Abby went early to save seats,so that was really nice. The entire school came in, so Wesley was there to watch. She received awards for advance math and reading. Then at the end, they had drawings for different prizes. When each student received an "on track ticket" for good behavior, they would put their ticket in a bucket for a drawing. Their were a variety a prizes: an art basket-full with art supplies; a summer basket full of beach/outdoor prizes, two Kindles. Possibly a few others? We were shocked, Heather won an Amazon Kindle!! It was so cool. She loves to read, so that was the perfect gift for her. She has done so well and had a great teacher and fun friends who will be at the same middle school with her. We are so proud of our sweet Heather!
