Next Adventure... Lake Powell

The morning after we returned from girls/scout camp, we headed to beautiful Powell. We met up with Shawn and Melinda and Dan and DeAnn (Mark's sisters and families). It was a great week in the water. They found the perfect spot for the house boat, which I will eventually add a picture of our view. Paradise! The kids all had a blast, and got along so well with each other. We went to church in Page and went to the museum there at the dam before church to "waste some time". It was amazing, we ran into Don Johnson at church. (The guy from Miami Vice). I'll include a picture of him also. It was so funny, all three men are Bishop's and we have Don Johnson and Mark who didn't shave and I then Shawn had to show off and look normal. I guess he's got seniority and was trying to set the example. We had a good laugh over the whole day. It was fun to get looks from everyone passing us in their boats as we are in church clothes on the way to and from church. Maybe they were gawking at the 13 kids, and three sets of parents. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Todd, Marcus, Ian and Wes had the best time on their islands that they named. They would swim or kayak over and catch lizards or scorpions and spent much of their time filling up their water shooters and then squirting them at the top of the mountain, only to go back and do it again. Amazing how they never got tired of that. They were so cute to watch, with so much energy.

All the kids had fun tubbing and wake boarding. Anthony and Jake loved to ski, and Joel tried it once and decided it wasn't for him. The best toy for the men was Shawn's new air chair. It was hilarious to watch, and they loved it once they figured it out. It looked like a kangaroo and I tried to take pictures, but was laughing so hard, it was hard to get a decent picture.

DeAnn and Melinda both are expecting, but you wouldn't know it, they had lots of energy and we had fun too. We ate very well and all helped make it yummy for everyone. It seemed very easy and we had time to play and relax also. One day we all went to Rainbow Bridge and Hole in the rock. =All the men and most of the children climbed hole in the rock and the whole gang went to rainbow bridge. It was hot, but worth it.

I could journal for days, but you get the idea, GREAT fun. Memories for a lifetime, with family we love-Priceless.
