Heather's Party

For Heather's 11th birthday, she invited 3 of her girl friends over for a party. We had originally planned to go to the movies, but the movie we wanted to see wasn't out in theaters anymore. (Romona and Beezus) So Heather really wanted to go out to dinner. She chose Chili's. Her friends had not been there before, so I think it was an extra special treat. We went early, as to not run into crowds. It was perfect, almost the whole section to ourselves. The big kids were at a local EFY, and Mark dropped off Jake and got to spend a few minutes with us. Wesley had Britain over to play and so he was able to join us for dinner, which was fun. We even had the workers come and sing to her, which she did get a little embarrassed, but secretly, I think she liked it more than being embarrassed. We came back to the house and were planning on watching a movie here, but the kids had so much fun playing outside, that they never did watch a movie. They did manage to eat all the popcorn and candy we had bought for the movie. Heather wanted the chips ahoy pie instead of cake, and they all loved that. We love Heather!
